We visited the awesome ruins of Pompeii earlier today; of course, I’ve already used that Bastille track, so I am forced to pull something form the movie we watched tonight. The spectacular Mine Vaganti. A real favourite of mine, with a performance by Ilaria Occhini that is simply flawless.

Watched some highlights from the Coca Cola Summer Festival in rome tonight. A couple real standout pop acts, including Canadian breakout act Kiesza. We’ve been hearing this song heap lately too, and I must admit, it kind of grows on you.

Having a touch of homesickness today. I’m certainly thrilled to be on the road still, but there is a piece of me that is definitely yearning for a small place to call my own soon. We’ll see.

Charlie and I return to the one city that started our passion for independent travel. I don’t know if either one of us will ever love another place quite as much as we love it here. Strangely, it feels like home.
